The Basic Kit includes:

Our casting material conforms to the health requirements of ASTM D-4236. There is no heat reaction when using our casting material.

A pregnancy belly cast enables any mom to forever remember how she looked during her pregnancy and the special nine months she shared with her growing baby. And making a pregnancy belly cast with this kit is simple. No mixing of messy materials is required and the end result is a perfect 3D memento of an expecting mom's belly or torso.
A pregnancy belly cast is created by applying several layers of wet plaster strips to the front of mom's body. After the strips have set, they will hold the shape and the cast can be lifted away from the body, capturing how beautiful she looked during her pregnancy. And after a pregnancy belly cast is made, it can be left as is for a simple, yet elegant look, or it can be painted or creatively decorated for a very personal work of art.

Each kit contains: - Premium Quality Plaster Casting Material
We provide five rolls of four-inch wide by five-yard long quick setting premium quality plaster of paris bandage material in our kit (25 square feet of material and enough for even the largest of expecting moms). To visualize just what 25 square feet of material looks like, it is equivalent to a five foot by five foot sheet of material. The casting material contains a fine cotton gauze and generous amounts of plaster of paris. When applied to mom's skin, it is creamy and able to capture all the fine details of a mom's expecting form. The combination of the fine gauze and amounts of plaster of paris allows the caster to get an incredibly smooth finish during the casting itself. We chose quick setting material to minimize the amount of time mom needs to sit and wait for her cast to dry. The casting material is made from 100% natural materials and is non-toxic and safe to use on mom's skin. There is no heat reaction when applied to mom's skin unlike bulk plaster of paris that can be purchased in a hobby or home improvement store. We have received and reviewed all of the safety certifications obtained by the manufacturer regarding its use. The casting material conforms to the health requirements of ASTM-D4236 and requires no additional labeling as mandated by the Labeling of Hazardous Art Materials Act (LHAMA). - Vaseline
We've done a lot of research and testing on what lubricant to use in our kit to provide the best barrier between mom's skin and the casting material. We tried it all! We considered Vaseline, generic petroleum jelly, unpetroleum jelly and oils. We concluded that Vaseline is simply the best product available to make the belly casting process safe and comfortable for mom. Vaseline is expensive, but it is a trusted name in providing safe, high-quality skin-care products and provides an excellent barrier between mom's skin and the casting material. In addition, Vaseline contains no colors, fragrances or irritants, is hypo-allergenic and will not clog pores. None of the oils we tested provided the kind of protection to the skin that Vaseline does. No matter what kind of oil we tried and how thick we applied the oil, the casting material still stuck a bit and it was uncomfortable pulling off the cast. We believe that Vaseline has the longest and best documented history for being used successfully and safely at home and in all types of medical settings. Physicians and hospitals recommend and use Vaseline on all their patients from newborns to the elderly and have been doing so for many years. No other product can make that same claim. - Drop Cloth
Making a pregnancy belly cast is great fun, but also is messy! We provide a 9 x 12 drop cloth to spread to keep the drips off your floor and to make clean up after the casting very simple. - Sanding Screen
Medium grit sanding screen is used to lightly sand your dried pregnancy belly cast to make a smoother finishing surface if you desire. - Nitrile Gloves
More expensive than either latex or vinyl gloves, nitrile gloves are made from 100% soft nitrile polymer, eliminating any probability for allergic reaction to the natural rubber proteins found in latex gloves. Nitrile gloves have excellent tensile strength and durability compared to vinyl gloves. They also conform well with excellent elasticity compared to vinyl gloves. - Step-by-Step Instructions
