More Milk Plus Alcohol Free (2 oz.) is fabulously effective for increasing mom's breast milk production, yet it is very safe for the breastfeeding mother and her baby. Both Motherlove alcohol based extracts and the alcohol-free extracts are extracted in alcohol and water. This is the preferred medium as it extracts the widest range of constituents from the herbs. The amount of alcohol in the finished extract is minimal and is not contraindicated in breastfeeding, but it does have a sharp taste.

In the alcohol-free products, the alcohol is slowly steamed away, without removing the important constituents. Glycerin, a sweet syrup derived from coconuts, is then added to replace the alcohol.

The primary herb in this blend is fenugreek, long known by lactation consultants for its milk-producing properties. It is very helpful when mom's milk supply diminished due to separation from baby, the baby's growth, illness, or stress. Many working moms take this when they are away from baby for hours at a time.

Most nursing mothers may take 1/4 tsp (1 ml) 4 times per day. This extract may be taken with 1 - 2 oz. of liquid. However, try not to drink additional liquids 20 minutes before and after each dose. Depending on dose and body weight, this blend should last approximately 10 days - 2 weeks. More Milk Plus does not contain any milk, dairy, soy, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat or gluten. It is KOF-K Certified Kosher. Do not use while pregnant.
