It's not easy for little kids to make big changes. That's why we have created the Change is Strange Book series. They were developed to help make life's changes easier for kids and their parents. Let's face it-change is strange at any age. The book topics include No More Pacifier, First Day of School, Mommy and Daddy are Going On a Trip, We're Having a Baby, and We're Moving.
Change is Strange is colorfully illustrated with characters and details that will fascinate your child so much so, this will be their favorite book. Each book in the series finishes with helpful hints to help make life's changes easier for kids and their parents. In addition, you will probably find the babysitter checklist helpful.
A few years ago, the author's husband and she wanted to go on a trip, but they were nervous about leaving their daughter. So she decided to write a book about where they were going, how many days they'd be gone and who would be taking care of her. Educators advise that if a child is having trouble with a transition, take them on a personal journey through the steps of the transition and set them at ease by showing a safe conclusion. The book was read to my daughter every day we were gone, and upon our return, it worked. She had adjusted without us. We hope that Change Is Strange enables children to turn the harsh transitions of life into exciting adventures that they will remember.
