Each Aden + Anais Muslin Baby Wrap (4 pack) includes four unique cotton muslin wraps. Swaddling is an age old technique that is used to make your baby feel safe and secure. It is designed to imitate the security of the surroundings they experience in the womb, yet keeps your baby's face uncovered. It helps your baby sleep (and stay asleep) on their back and prevents them from moving around the crib and getting into dangerous or uncomfortable positions.
Muslin is a unique cotton fabric with an open weave that allows air to flow seamlessly through the material. The soft natural fibers allow your baby's body temperature to adjust naturally, eliminating overheating, yet ensuring warmth and comfort. Besides swaddling, these Muslin Baby Wraps can also be used as a sheet on the floor for tummy time, to shield you and baby while nursing, as a burp cloth, or as a sun shade on a stroller.
Each Muslin Baby Wrap in this pack is 47 inches by 47 inches square, and there are beautiful styles to choose from. These delicate cotton wraps are light, yet extremely durable. They can be machine washed and tumble-dried. Best of all, the more you wash these wraps, the softer they get, as the air from drying creates a unique waffled effect in the fabric. Be sure to wash them before first use.
Aden + Anais are Aussie mothers who moved from Australia to the US in 1996. They decided to make their own adequately sized muslin swaddling cloths to securely swaddle their new babies (Aden and Anais) because nothing on the market was large enough to do the job at that time. They also were unsatisfied with the material other wraps were made of, so they sought out the same soft, breathable muslin cotton they had in Australia. When they made their own, people everywhere wanted them, including nurses, pediatricians, obstetricians, lactation consultants, baby group moms, and mom-friends. Their firm Aden + Anais was established in 2004.
